Social Lion From The North East India
BACK to the history, we can see many great people have done great things for the societies. In todays’ world, hard to find people who dearly care for the society. Instead of giving a direction to the youth it’s become easy to say “God helps those who helps themselves” whenever approached by the youths in need of helps. I therefore find the needs to expose out true leaders who deserved to be appreciated and give as current exemplary for all.
Many people deserved to be called the words “Sir” with due respect. I can honestly say I am happy to called ‘Sir’ to Mr. Hibu. IPS, Nodal Officer of Delhi. His contribution, care and love for the North East People residing in Delhi will never be just a helps. He created a history by reuniting the North East Folks to stands with the rights, freedom and dignity. He also opened the eyes of the long term sleeping folks in Delhi. Bravo!
I once had a verbal discussion with my trusted friend who sincerely, tirelessly, works for the safety of North East people in New Delhi. Infect, he is unpaid volunteers and all he gets back was the words “Thanks & Good job”. The discussion was nothing much than the problems faced by the North East folks in the capital. He also mentioned that the folks were happy to have a social lion from our region (NER). I do not know the exact meaning what he was saying. I asked, do you mean we have a good Lion from the North East? He hit a smile and says, ‘Yes, a social lion, a Nodal officers, who stands with truth and dignity for the people in regardless of cast, region, religion, sex and color”.
It makes me more curious to know him and I’ve the excitement to meet such a great person to be called “Social Lion” if only I go the opportunity. My friends also told me that out of many officers, he is one of the officers from the North East whom we can approach, shared problems faced by the North East people in Delhi.
Since the day I stepped my foot in Delhi on 14th Feb. till date. Most of the information I heard was a continuous complained from the North East folks to the North East Support Centre & Helpline (NESCH) against a racial attacks in the capital. I do not know what’s wrong with the country we living in. That makes me more confused. Am I not Indian? Aren’t we? I can see things become into violence when no one response the need. It seems protesting is the last options for the people who need equality and justice. Do you know why? It’s because of inequality and discrimination prevails within us, in our mother country.
Time passes by, a racial attacks or discrimination in the country never gets end, never the politicians or the government never undertaken to address the problems faced by the North East people in the country. The team NESCH got a continuous complains in seeking helps to solve the problem they faced.
Back to the topic, Mr. Hibu is always the final when everyone remained helpless at the end. He is full of courageous, inspiring; his gifted voice itself is strong and sharp. His smiled and passion can also be good examples of which great leaders should possess.
I heard a voice saying Hello, Hello! NE folks with soft and clear voice. I turn my head towards the direction in which the voice calling from. Yes! At a distance I saw a man wearing a uniform and shake his hands with the people standing in front of him one bay one. I turned on my camera and focus on him. He spoke to the media and address about “Special Camp for Registration of Voters from North East India” at NEC Guest House at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It was like a dreams come to true meeting a person whom we really wanted to meet them. Yes! I once have introduced myself on WhatsApp mentioning that I am a volunteer in NESCH. That was the first time I met Mr. Hibu.
Through his initiative and greatest concerned for the people, I can say many students or employees especially from the North East India become true citizens of India with the National voter identity card which was held on 12th March 2014. Perhaps, his is always a man and good leaders whom everyone can approach him personally or through phone calls or through social networking.
No one does, but Hibu, he is always there to help the helpless and the role he plays to the people shows that he has no judgmental attitudes towards people from different background. One can also raise a question; do we have only one IPS officers from our region in Delhi? Where are we hiding where we can help our people and while our people are violated, molested, raped and murdered? Don’t we find it’s the right time for us to speak out for the betterment of the folks in the future?
In any circumstances, Mr. Hibu can show his presence of guidance through either phone calls or internet. I strongly recommended the folks to says thanks to him at least. Belief it or not, hit him a phone calls or text him you’ll surely get a response. Infect, he isn’t an automatic machines or a robot. His love and attitudes towards the needy is strong. I can say he is like a father especially for the North East folks residing in Delhi. This is why he shall be called SOCIAL LION. He deserved it.
Do not say you’re good for nothing, we all have responsible and roles to play for the betterment of our societies. Everyone wants to be called “Sir” with s/he rank-qualification-position. Once shouldn’t expect to be called sir and respected by others without doing anything good for the country. Remember your works and responsibilities will follow you to be called Sir. Compete to do good things rather than great things. Rather utilize what is good in us than saving for nothing.
