By Khams Zotal This article is all about the challenges faced by the school going children in rural areas of Jharkhand-Bihar in India. What do you think could be the reason why the place is so much neglected? Hey! They said; beware of the people living in Jharkhand-Bihar, they’re illiterate and cunning (Chalak). This is not really funny!!! I wish they speak words like “yes! We should focus on these states, the state is lacked behind in all round development, and we must help them” Wow! You’re doing a great job. Yes. We must change the lives of the people living in Jharkhand-Bihar. This should be the positive words that should come out from young responsible citizens. What say? Language doesn’t matter, but positive change attitude does matter to be a change maker. Beyond expectation, the place is beautiful and lovely although it’s hot and dry. People are friendly and eager to learn new things. Expectation is too high. I can say the land is blessed with unique natural beauty and there we can see many tourist spots. Everywhere I we go in the villages, we can identified the needs of the people and I find their needs is my needs as well. I thought I am the only guy born in such critical environment with less effective of governance and corrupted. The problem faced by the people living in rural areas of Jharkhand-Bihar is not less the same with the people living in the rural or hilly areas of Manipur where I belong. Or every village in India faced the same problems? Could it be? Go to urban areas in any states of the country (India), there you can see how much the country is well developed. But, go to rural areas of any state of the country the real images-development status of the country can be seen. I can say; what we see is not what we don’t really see. The sun doesn’t looks like the Sun, because live is really critical and so hard for the people in such condition. There is no proper road or transportation, electricity, health care, many children’s remained untrained-uneducated. It still ring in my ears, once the chief Guest in my high school teachers day quoted “Children are hope of the world, they’re the pillar of the nation”. According to India constitution and the Right to Education, children below the age of 14 will get free education. I think it’s the time for us to re-evaluate whether the scheme is well implemented or not especially in the rural areas where some of the primary school turn into the best shelter for the cows and buffaloes. “Education is a mass for all children” Wake up now, let the children enjoy their rights and let the nation bloom through the pillars we had. Do you want to make change?
